Eye tests — frequently asked questions
How long does an eye test take?
A routine comprehensive eye examination usually takes around 20 to 30 minutes. Allow a little longer for your first visit or if extra checks are needed.
How often should I have an eye test?
Many adults benefit from an eye test about every two years, and sooner if you notice changes in your vision or your optometrist advises it. Children and people with certain health conditions may need to be seen more often.
Do I need an appointment for an eye test?
No — you're welcome to walk in during opening hours. If you'd like to check before you come, call your nearest store.
