Contact lenses — frequently asked questions
Can anyone wear contact lenses?
Most people can wear contact lenses, but a fitting is important because eyes vary in shape and sensitivity. Your optometrist will check your eyes are suitable and recommend the right lens type.
Do I need a contact-lens fitting?
Yes. A fitting makes sure the lenses match your eyes and prescription, which keeps them comfortable and protects your eye health. It's separate from a standard glasses prescription.
Daily or monthly lenses — which is better?
It depends on how often you wear them and your budget. Dailies are convenient and hygienic for occasional wear; monthlies can be more economical for regular use. We'll help you decide at your fitting.
